It is also the Allahabad city where for the first time voice for the separate Muslim state were heard during the Annual Meeting of All-India Muslim league in the year 1930.
Population wise Allahabad is among the top fifty cities of the country with a population around 12 lakhs. Main language of the city is the Hindi but it is not difficult to listen conversations in Urdu, Bengali, Kashmiri and Punjabi Languages.
